Failure and Mutiny

You are a freelance Interstellar Explorer; the proud owner of a humble, last-generation Spacecraft, and Captain of it’s modest Crew. You are just setting out on your longest excursion to date in hopes of finally making that one big discovery that will define your legacy and set up a lasting financial foundation for you and your shipmates.

‘Failure and Mutiny’ is a Solo Journaling TTRPG about the pursuit of an unstable, likely unsustainable Dream. It is a game about collecting enough small pieces of success to offset the never ending deluge of struggle, finding enough brief moments of joy to ride out the long, lonely periods of misery, and living enough of “The Dream” to justify pushing ever onward in the disappointing face of reality.

To play you will need one standard deck of playing cards with the Jokers removed, one 6-sided die, a tumbling block tower, and some way to record journal entries (e.g. pencil and paper, audio/video logs, twitter, oil paintings, etc) If you don’t have access to a block tower, alternate rules using dice, in place of the tower, are included. 

'Failure and Mutiny' serves as a "playable prologue" to the unfolding story and song-cycle: 'The Box Factory' by the band  URIZEN.  This  game along with Chapter 1 of the 'Box Factory' both correspond to the song  Radiant Falling Stars.
